Why This Project
The context
R2 Desk Pro is a cross-platform desktop client for Cloudflare R2. It was built to replace fragmented browser workflows with one local-first workspace for storage operations.
The Challenge
What had to change
The Cloudflare dashboard is good at configuration but weak at day-to-day storage operations. Bucket administration, object handling, sync planning, signed URL generation, cache actions, and cost review all lived in separate browser flows with very little operational continuity.
The Solution
What we shipped
We built a native desktop client with vault-gated access, OS keychain credential storage, multi-profile support, bucket and object administration, dry-run sync planning, reliable transfer queues, signed URL tooling, and cost diagnostics in one place.
